The Greatest Gift

The greatest gift I could give someone
Is not what you might first expect.
No glamorous riches, no palaces of gold,
No fashionable clothing, nor fame in the least.
I cannot give you wisdom or knowledge.
I cannot make you popular,
Or hook you with the cutest girl or guy.
What could anyone want
From a simple young girl like me?
My love, my care, my friendship, myself?
That's only so much.

But I can give you a gift
That many kings could never offer you,
One that could change your life forever--
A story, a simple but true story.
Yet within it lies the deepest love, the purest hope.
The story of the God who created you,
And though you sinned against Him,
He wouldn't give up on you.
The story of a Man sent from God--
Jesus Christ, God's Son
Who chose to die for your sins,
And then came back to life
So you could be saved.
He'll be your Savior if you ask Him to.

Yes, I have a gift to give to you,
One greater than the gifts of this world,
And if you say yes to the one I tell you of
You are God's child and have a home in heaven.
This is the greatest gift I have to give.

Friendship, The Mystery

It is a mystery,
The joining of two souls,
In friendship.
Not a joining of bodies and hearts,
As with lovers.
But, a combining of minds with ideas & thoughts,
Both oral and silent.
Shared times together.
Through laughter and sorrow,
Through Love and Death,
Friendship goes on.
No matter the distance,
No matter the time,
Friendship, if is it true,
Is a committment between,
People, that transcends, all matter,
Of realities.
Friendship endures.

Tittle
By definition a tittle is the smallest part of a letter.
It is normally used to talk about the Hebrew alphabet.
But if we compare it to our alphabet then a tittle might be
like the little line that crosses the "t".

The reason that the tittle is important is because in
Matthew 5:18 Jesus said, "For verily I say unto you,
Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall
in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."
Now the jot is the smallest letter and the tittle is
the smallest part of the letter. So God is telling you
and I that not the smallest letter or even part of a letter
of His law shall be done away with till He shall return
with a new heaven and a new earth.

Ok, Ok, so why is this important?

Today there are many people that say we need to revise
what God is teaching in accordance to our society today.
They say that in the past it was wrong for homosexual
marriage within the church, but today it needs to be
accepted within the church. Or that just because God
said you shouldn't murder a baby in the womb; well this
is a new time with freedom of choice.

But friend, God tells us that He cared enough to give
us the right set of guidelines in the bible that would
never change. That is why we can count on the principles
of the Bible as being the right ones to order our live.
If sometimes you get confused about what is right or wrong
then just turn to the word of God and ask Him about it.
The bible is Gods personal love letter of direction to you.
Read it today.
